The Maymask Healthcare Group was formed in 2005 to carry out a number of due diligence projects focused on the management of long term health conditions; namely, pain management services within both the National Health Service (NHS) and the private sector.
These projects spawned Maymask Healthcare’s primary operation of coordinating complementary healthcare services for clients with chronic, long-term conditions across independent clinics, home-based care, NHS facilities, and private practices.
Through a series of acquisitions, Maymask grew to be one of the largest independent supplier of pain management services to the NHS with 20 clinics offering community-based pain services across South Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
- In 2009, Maymask Health Care acquire RealHealth, a specialist provider of residential Pain Management and Functional RestorationProgrammes, known as CPPs, or Combined Physical and Psychological Programmes.
- In 2011, Maymask acquired Pain Management Solutions Ltd. (PMS) and Roundwood Health Clinic Ltd.
From its clientele to partnered service providers, Maymask Healthcare developed close relationships within the sports recovery industry. As rates of injuries, recovery, and chronic conditions were rising, the need for improved perimeter safety in athletics stadiums became clear. Sport arena’s perimeter boards were evolving from concrete blockades, to padded walls, to today’s digital advertising boards, but player safety and risk of injury had been left out of the equation. A better balance had to be found between advancing technologies, advertising ability, and player health and safety.
